This past Saturday we me on top of the hill at Brookdale park.
We all ate food from the BBQ, La Farine donations, tossed around some football, and most importantly met some of our neighbors.
We raised $35 from our cookbook sales to go to groceries for the Healthy Eats Cooking Class.
Thanks ALL!

Neil LeDoux at Brookdale
Artist Neil Ledoux has been working on an Art Project with the youth at Brookdale. Some community interactions have been facilitated by resident artist Kristi Holohan with assistance from center director Alaina Fuglstad. The collaborative piece is based on drawing and painting dreams. We have all worked together in a sort of correspondence with the 6 yard long canvas at the center on Wednesdays and then the piece returns with Neil to his home in San Francisco for him to work on. The final works will be displayed at Oakland's First Friday at Keys that Fit.
